Description

The Hybernite Universal Heated Pipe supports the use of proper humidification with a CPAP machine even in a cold environment.

It has a 22mm connector making it widely compatible with a range of CPAP, APAP and BiPAP machines.   The heated pipe prevents ‘rainout’ from the humidifier due to condensation build-up.  A heated pipe also helps to keep the air at increased temperature after it leaves the humidifier.

These Plastiflex Hybernite heated pipes are suitable for any PAP machine as it has its own power source.

The Hybernite Heated Pipe supports the best results from your existing humidifier.

Many users experience “rainout” when using a humidifier at high levels of humidification and / or cold external temperatures.  “Rainout” refers to condensation (water) build-up in the pipe or mask. This is a result of hot humid air from the humidifier coming into contact with the outside of a cold pipe.  When this happens, users experience discomfort and may even hear gargling noises caused by the condensed water in the pipe.

Condensation following humidification and drop of air temperature in regular hoses can also negatively affect the quality of your therapy. As the humidified air cools, it affects the air pressure delivered by your CPAP machine.  If you are using a fixed pressure machine, then you may be receiving less pressure than you need as a result, making your therapy less effective.  In a cold environment using the Hybernite Universal Heated Pipe can help to ensure your CPAP therapy is as comfortable and effective as possible while using sufficient humidification.
